Ngoko Safaris is a niche tour operator specializing in safaris throughout Southern Africa. Established in 2005, we offer a wealth of experience in planning life-enriching safari adventures.

Our main focus is safaris to Zimbabwe, Botswana and Zambia, although we also venture further afield. We can arrange your beach extension or stay in Cape Town but it is safaris we are serious about. Most of our itineraries are privately guided, providing the ultimate in safari experiences.  

Our service is totally flexible and tailor-made to suit your individual requirements and preferences. We are passionate about sharing our love of Africa, and care deeply that each safari is the very best it can be. We recognize that for many people a safari is a once in a lifetime experience and design every itinerary with that in mind. 

Co-founder of Ngoko Safaris is Zimbabwe pro-guide, Benson Siyawareva. Benson is one of Africa’s top guides, although he is too modest to accept this accolade. With an infectious laugh and an encyclopedic knowledge of the flora and fauna he is a wonderful person to lead your safari, should you choose to have a private guide. 

The other half of the Ngoko team is Fiona Thompson, based in the UK. Fiona will personally handle your booking from the initial inquiry until after your return from Africa.

We are a very small team and proud of it. We offer a highly personal service to our guests and often form lifelong friendships. Our bookings are mainly from repeat guests or word of mouth recommendations, some guests returning year after year for their annual safari "fix" with Benson.  

Benson and Fiona have been friends and business partners for many years, first meeting in Botswana in 2001. In recent years we have been able to follow our dreams of “making a difference” in Zimbabwe, building a Primary School and more recently a Clinic in a rural area not far from Victoria Falls. Our project, Lesedi School & Clinic, is supported by our registered UK charity, Ngoko Charitable Trust.
