Sausage Tree Camp
Sausage Tree Camp is set in a beautiful position on the banks of the Zambezi River, at the heart of the Lower Zambezi National Park. This exclusive, privately-owned safari camp, featured on the BBCs Holiday Ten Best programme, specializes in combining the very best game viewing with traditional safari style.
Sleeping only twelve guests, Sausage Tree Camp offers a highly personalized and professional safari experience. Each tent has its own personal Muchinda (butler) to attend to your every whim. Devoid of fences, elephant and other game frequently walk through camp, allowing guests to enjoy game experiences from the comfort of their tents.

Accommodation is in six luxurious white Bedouin style tents, discreetly positioned along the riverbank. Solid teak furniture, including sumptuous four-poster beds, contrasts with pure white fabrics and flowing white mosquito nets. Shaded by mature sausage and mahogany trees, the tents are cool, private sanctuaries to return to after an early morning game drive and for a good nights rest. Each tent has a private open-air bathroom, with running hot and cold water and flush loo with a view.

Game viewing is the prime reason for visiting African wildlife areas and national parks. Sausage Tree Camp offers some of the finest game viewing in natural habitats anywhere on the continent. The camps location within the National Park and on the banks of the Zambezi River means they are able to offer a wide range of game viewing activities, including day and night game-drives, walking safaris, canoeing, boating and fishing for the world-renowned "Tiger fish". With personalized guiding, guests decide exactly what activity they would like to take and when. All of the guides are fully trained, licensed and have many years of experience, ensuring the highest quality of guiding and safety standards.

Three course meals are enjoyed under the African sky, with white linen and atmospheric candlelight, or in the dining tent with its huge teak table. A large timber deck overhanging the river provides brilliant views and is an excellent place to enjoy a relaxing moment.
