Days 1-3: You will be met at Lusaka Airport for a flight to the Lower Zambezi National Park. Your first three nights are spent at the exclusive Sausage Tree Camp, featured on the BBC’s Holiday Ten Best programme. Enjoying a prime location, this luxury camp offers a large range of game-viewing activities including day and night game-drives, walking safaris, canoeing, boating and fishing for the world-renowned Tiger Fish. The Tiger International Tournament, a worldwide fishing competition, is help upstream from here. All guiding is personalized and guests decide exactly what activity they would like to take and when.

Lion, buffalo, leopard and hyena are frequently seen in the area, with occasional sightings of wild dogs.

Days 4-5: A full day canoe trip, stopping for a picnic lunch en-route, takes you to Old Mondoro Bush Camp - your home for the next two nights. The camp is set in a grove of acacia trees on the banks of the Zambezi River, near to the Chakwenga River confluence. It is a beautiful site overlooking a maze of hippo-inhabited islands and channels and is unquestionably the best walking area in the Lower Zambezi. Although game drives are available, the emphasis is definitely on walking.
