Tau Pan Camp
Tau Pan Camp is a new camp, opened in March 2009. It is situated on an established sand ridge overlooking Tau Pan inside the world famous Central Kalahari Game Reserve. The camp commands stunning views of the permanent Tau Pan water hole and the endless Kalahari horizon.
The camp consists of eight custom-built desert rooms under thatch. All rooms have fans and outside showers, along with a private viewing deck. The main area comprises a dining room, lounge area and a viewing deck.
The camp also offers facilities such as a swimming pool, interpretation centre/library and curio shop.
Activities include game drives in open 4x4 vehicles and guided walks with a San who will explain their culture and entertain you by answering all your questions on subjects ranging from birth to marriage to bush survival.
Please note Tau Pan is in a game reserve and an ecological sensitive area – for this reason it is not possible to drive off road or at night.
