This safari combines three intimate and extremely comfortable African camps - each with different characteristics. Small is always best! These hand picked camps within the Moremi Game Reserve and the private Chitabe and Kwedi concessions in the Okavango Delta, provide the ultimate experience in terms of wildlife; habitats range from palm-fringed islands, ox-bow channels, papyrus swamps and river channels to grassy plains and woodlands. Indulge in the best of mokoro rides, boating, game drives and walking.
Days 1-2: You will be met at Maun Airport for a light aircraft transfer to Chitabe Lediba situated in the enormous Chitabe Concession - a private concession bordering the Moremi Game Reserve. The camp is located within a varied habitat of seasonally flooded grasslands, wooded acacia islands and lagoons.

Your accommodation for two nights is a spacious and luxuriously appointed East African style tent with en-suite facilities including an outdoor shower with views of the floodplain. Activities consist of day and night game drives in open 4x4 vehicles and guided game walks. The camp also has two elevated hides located in the concession, where guests can experience a "sleep-out" under the stars.
Wildlife in the area includes elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, cheetah and wild dog. Guests are also likely to see zebra, reedbuck, giraffe, kudu, impala and all the plains game. Night drives can be very rewarding, giving rare opportunities to view animals such as pangolin, civet, serval, porcupine and aardwolf.
Days 3-4: After your morning activity today you transfer by light-aircraft to Xigera Camp, situated in the heart of the Okavango Delta.
Two nights will be spent at this luxurious tented camp, nestled in a magnificent riverine forest. Tents are raised on wooden decks – with superb views of the floodplain – and have en-suite facilities and an outdoor shower. Permanent water all year round allows you to enjoy an unparalleled variety of activities including foot safaris, mokoro trips and powerboat outings. When water levels permit, game drives are also an attraction.

Lion and leopard are regularly seen from the camp. Lechwe, sitatunga, bushbuck, buffalo and hippo are often spotted from mekoros and on walks. In fact the area boasts the highest density of the rare and elusive sitatunga antelope found anywhere in the Okavango Delta. This camp is a paradise for avid birdwatchers.
Days 5-7: Today you transfer by light aircraft to Little Vumbura, located in a private 30,000 hectare concession known locally as the Kwedi Reserve, bordering the Moremi Game Reserve in the northern reaches of the Okavango Delta.

You will be accommodated for three nights in large and comfortable tented rooms with en-suite facilities. There is an additional shower under the stars and each tent has a veranda with wonderful views. Activities are both land and water based. Mekoros traverse the floodplains under the guidance of experienced polers. Open 4x4 vehicles allow you to get close to animals in the savannah areas, while walks around the islands provide an opportunity to enjoy Africa from a different perspective.
Little Vumbura has both the wetland and savannah species of wildlife, including red lechwe, waterbuck, hippos, steenbok, reedbuck, crocodiles as well as sable, kudu, wildebeest and tsessebe who roam the open plains. This is one of the best places to view the elegant and magnificent sable antelope. Herds of buffalo and elephant occur here, along with the major predators - lion, hyena, leopard, wild dog and cheetah. Guests who enjoy their birding will love the combination of all the Okavango water "specials" with acacia and dry woodland species.
Day 8: Enjoy a final morning activity at Little Vumbura before your departure by light aircraft to Maun Airport to connect with your onward flight.
