Mashatu Tent Camp
Mashatu Tent Camp is located in the Tuli Block in the far eastern corner of Botswana, within the privately-owned Mashatu Game Reserve. The camp is nestled in the remote northern area of the reserve.

The camp comprises just seven twin tents. Although rustic in character every facility is provided. The tents are insect-proofed, have comfortable beds and each has en-suite facilities with shower.

There is an open-sided thatched deck where meals are served and a traditional boma for intimate campfire dinners. A plunge pool is useful for cooling off during the heat of the day and a hide overlooks a floodlit waterhole.

The wildlife experience at Mashatu is personalised. Dedicated, experienced Tswana rangers and trackers are keen to show you their world. Radio-linked 4x4 vehicles set out at dawn and again at dusk in search of the diverse variety of fauna and flora which abound throughout the reserve. Whether you visit Mashatu for the excitement of the big game viewing, the relaxation of unspoilt Africa or the quiet luxury of the camps, you will not be disappointed.

Mashatu is also able to offer activities conducted by research scientists and concessionaires based on Mashatu Game Reserve. The applicable fee assists in the funding of the scientists research. These activities should be pre-booked prior to arrival at the camps to ensure availability. Other adventure activities available at a small additional charge include cycle and horse safaris and walking safaris with a specialist guide.

Mashatu is home to the largest single population of elephant on privately owned land in Africa. In addition prides of lion and cheetah can be found here. Along the river courses, huge Mashatu trees provide shade for eland, impala, wildebeest, giraffe and zebra. As night falls, the bat-eared fox, African wildcat and magnificent leopard search for prey. Some 366 species of birds may be seen.
